We’re cooking up delicious menus all summer long at our Summer Camp! Each week of camp will focus on a different theme and each day will be a new culinary adventure.
Our sessions are designed to instill confidence in the kitchen. Students will learn key kitchen skills such as chopping, cooking, mixing and baking techniques. They will use math and reading skills in learning how to read and mise en place a recipe. Students will make new friends while working as a team to complete the menus and be empowered to make better decisions regarding food choices.
So how do our camps work? From Monday through Thursday of each week, kids will prepare 3 to 4 dishes per day and vote for their favorite menu items for the week. On Friday, ie, last day of camp for the week, we will host a friendly Iron Chef Competition. With minimal help and supervision, kids will team up to prep, read and follow recipes and re-create their favorite dishes. Finally, they will receive their Certificate of Completion.
[Please Note : Ticket sales will begin on March, 1 2020. Weekly themes and menus are subject to change and will be finalized shortly.]
- Morning camp, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, for ages 5-8 years old
- Afternoon camp, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm, for ages 9-13 years old
Included in Camp:
- A folder with all materials you will go over throughout the week.
- Your very own FlavorPot apron to take home and keep!
- Recipe cards for every item that will be made.
- Chef hats at the beginning of the week to wear and take home.
- Certificate of Completion at end of each week.
NOTE : Due to advance nature of menus in weeks 8 and 9; we require that you attend at least one of weeks 1 through 7 to get comfortable with cooking and kitchen basics.

New to cooking and making magic in the kitchen? Then this week is for you! We’ll introduce you to kitchen and cooking basics while helping you create some delicious recipes. Let’s get you ready and rolling for the rest of summer camp.

Wake up and smell the goodness! It has been said that breakfast is our most important meal of the day and this experience will teach you everything you need to know about making mornings memorable. An exciting menu awaits…

Science In The Kitchen
Who knew cooking would be a science experiment? Much of what we create in the kitchen has to do with the periodic table and how various elements interact with one another. Put on your apron, grab your kitchen tools and get ready to experiment.
Week 4 : July 13-17
Sweet & Savory Treats
The tastes of sweet and savory balance one another as they hit our tongue. Learn more about the two important S’s in the culinary world and how this dynamic duo will work together to tantalize your taste buds!
Week 5 : July 20-24
Explore recipes from across the country. We will create items from various regions and discuss what makes them so popular. Learn about our great nation and have fun making delicious recipes like biscuits and gravy, cornbread, banana pudding, and much more!
Week 6 : July 27-31
Snacks… who can live without them?! We will put together all sorts of in-between meal goodies that not only taste good…but are good for you too!
Week 7 : August 3-7
Put on the apron and lets get baking! Learn about the science of baking, portioning and key techniques required for various types of baked goods. On the menu will be sweet and savory favorites like pies, croissants, cupcakes, eclairs and much more!
Week 8 : August 10-14
Baking & Decorating
This FlavorPot “fan favorite” is sure to please your budding baker! Not only will we create delicious baked goods like pies, tarts, churros, layered cakes,etc; we will also focus on making them look pretty with frosting and decorating using piping bags and tips.
